An Emotional Find

An Emotional Find

[While walking out of B&N yesterday I found this picture on the ground. It is hand laminated on card stock. It must have been very important to someone and I couldn't help feeling a little emotional for the person who lost it. Then most of the night I spent thinking about who the people in the picture are. Brother and sister? Play mates? An arranged marriage maybe? Also where was this taken and during what time period? I have so many questions that I know won't be answered but it's so interesting to me. I really wanted to share it with you peoples. So in the comments below, if you feel so inclined, throw out some hypothesis, make up a story, or write a poem about the kids in this picture and where they came from. Where they lovers always meant to be together? Who knows, but I would love to read what you think. In-joy, Dio Foxx]

  1. Finding a photograph which holds so many memories, and then keeping it safe with you is commendable. I’m also feeling a little sad for whoever lost it. Because I dunno why but I feel it meant a lot to both of them. May be they are separated from each other now. May be they were best mates but time pulled them apart. But I really hope they are still together and happy.

And you never know Diofoxx, may be they see this here and contact you. :)

    • I hope they are together and happy too. The picture has become my designated bookmark so I look at it often. How great would that be if they saw the post?! I actually called back to the Barnes and Noble where I found it and left my number in case anyone comes looking. I also made a Found post in the lost and found section of Craigslist. Weirder things have happened. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts!
